I need some advice on what could be a life changing decision.
I've suspected for some time now that my girlfriend has been having an affair. The usual signs. Phone rings, I answer, someone hangs up.
She started going out 'with the girls' a lot recently, although when I ask which girls it is always "Just some friends from work, you don't know them".
I always look out for her taxi coming home but she always walks down the drive although I can hear a car setting off. As if she has got out of the car round the corner. Why? Is it not a taxi?
I once picked her mobile up just to see what time it was and she went beserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her.
Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my g/f. I think deep downI just didn't want to know the truth but last night she went out again and I decided to check on her.
I decided I was going to hide behind my car which would give me a veiw of the whole street so I could see which car she gets out of. It was whilst crouched behind my car that I noticed rust around my rear wheel arch.
So my question is WHAT DO I DO? ........Should I take it into a body repair shop or should I buy some stuff from a retail outlet and try to repair it myself?

This was sooo good, a star without any questions xDD You really had me there almost to the finish! And I'd have to answer 'the repair shop', too. Just this summer I tried to fix some rusty spots in my car, but dang was it a pain in the buttocks.. So, even if it'll cost quite dearly, it's like someone already said: it has to be done by someone who knows that stuff well to get the best result. Good luck with it ;]

Anyway i would suggest taking the car to a body repair shop.

Take it to a repair shop and book yourself in for a psych consult at the same time... you should know that it is best to have the job done professionally! ;-)

Very amusingly phrased question.

Have a look around for rust in other areas of the vehicle. If it's just in the one area, then some retail stuff should be fine. If its more widespread, a body repair shop should help you deal with all the rust at a cheaper price.

And could you tell your gf to stop ringing me?

I had the exact same problem! I would advise taking it to the repair shop. This is not the sort of thing you want to scrimp on, it needs doing properly. I tried doing it myself and made a right old mess of things. Lost about £700 when I finally sold the car. My girlfriend is still cheating but my new motor is in top condition!
